QuestionList three types of glomerulonephritis and describe three histopathological features and one or two clinical features.
A. Name of glomerulonephritis: postostreptococcal acute glomerulonephritis
I. Histopathological features
[1] Accumulation of numerous polymorphonuclear leukocytes in the glomeruli.
[2] Deposition of IgG and C3 in a granular pattern along the capillary walls by IF.
[3] Electron dense deposits called humps in the subepithelial space by EM.
II. Clinical features
[1] Acute onset with proteinuria, hematuria and edema after streptococcal infection.
[2] Minor progression to chronic glomerulonephritis
B. Name of glomerulonephritis: membranous nephropathy
I. Histopathological features
[1] Diffuse thickening of the glomerular capillary walls and spike formation in PAM stained sections.
[2] Granular deposition of IgG and C3 along the capillary walls by IF.
[3] Subepithelial or intramembranous electron dense deposition by EM.
II. Clinical features
[1] Incidious onset of proteinuria leading to nephrotic syndrome.
[2] One type of メchronic glomerulonephritisモ
C. Name of glomerulonephritis: IgA nephropathy
I. Histopathological features
[1] Proliferative lesion in the mesangium
[2] Deposition of IgA and C3 in the mesangium detected by IF.
[3] Hemisherical deposits observed by EM.
III. Clinical features
[1] Incidious onset of proteinuria and hematuria.
[2] Predominant type of chronic glomerulonephritis in Japan
