In addition, our institution is also characterized as having the following: a graduation program for clinical and fundamental research; and a training course with a wide variety of options, including study abroad, which can be tailored to the needs of individual students. Our purpose is to foster "Clinician-Scientists" who would keep up with advances in medical science.

The concept of our training program

Our training course is designed in a flexible manner, in order to meet requirements based on the individual academic orientation and life design. As many patients have clinical conditions in which the hepato-biliary-pancreas is linked to the gastrointestinal tract in clinical practice, we provide the following programs: for the first half of the internship (three to five years after graduation), the program aims at the acquisition of wide knowledge necessary for gastrointestinal medicine; and for the latter half (five years or more after graduation), the program is tailored to addressing individual requirements.
