2016/02/09 研究成果放射線医学分野の青山英史教授が主任研究者を務めた多施設共同研究が米国臨床腫瘍学会（ASCO）の「Clinical Cancer Advances 2016 (CCA)」に選定されました
新潟大学医歯学総合研究科放射線医学分野の青山英史教授が主任研究者を務めた日本放射線腫瘍学研究機構（JROSG）多施設共同研究が、米国臨床腫瘍学会（ASCO）が選定する最も重要と考えられる研究を総括した「癌治療の進歩と最新動向に関する年次報告（2016年）；Clinical Cancer Advances 2016 (CCA)」に選ばれました。この研究は、転移性脳腫瘍に対して定位照射単独治療と定位照射と全脳照射併用治療を比較した臨床試験（JROSG99-1）の二次解析であり¹、定位照射に全脳照射を併用することで恩恵を受ける可能性がある患者群を特定したものです。この結果が癌治療の進歩における重要な貢献と認定されました。本報告はASCOのサイトに掲載されており、PDFデータのダウンロードが可能です（www.CancerProgress.Net/cca）、さらに、専門雑誌「Journal of Clinical Oncology」にてオンライン公開されています。
Research led by Hidefumi Aoyama, Niigata University, one of the members of Japanese Radiation Oncology Study Group (JROSG) was selected by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) for inclusion in Clinical Cancer Advances 2016, the Society’s annual review of progress against cancer and emerging trends in the field. The study, which is the secondary analysis of the randomized clinical trial comparing stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) monotherapy and SRS plus whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) for brain metastases (JROSG99-1)¹ and identified a group of patients who may benefit from combination of SRS and WBRT, is featured as one of the year’s major achievements in clinical cancer research and care.
